4th and final camping trip of July/August!
I would like to say final reunion but there's still two of those left. Luckily they're just day things. We went to Ely Nevada for this camping trip. To a scout camp called camp success. We had a little trouble getting there. We got lost and climbed this huge mountain in the van. When we got to the top of the mountain and saw the radio tower we figured this wasn't the place. When we turned around to go back we blew a tire. It was shredded. We put the spare on and drove to the campground. So a 4 hour drive took us 7 hours. But we made it nonetheless. This is the "back to the roots" trip for Mike's Dad. He grew up in Ely. We went to Lehman Caves, which was cool. Caves are always cool. Logan and Abby freaked out when we got in there, but they soon calmed down and enjoyed the cave. We also went to Cave Lake and rode in canoes. The lake is a cool green color. On Friday we had a talent show. Mike's uncle Bob does the Indian ring dancing. He did like 12 rings and then a fire ring. It was really cool. Then other people did some talents. It was really fun. On Saturday we did a tour of Ely, seeing the place where Mike's grandma and grandpa lived, where Mike would play when they would come to Ely, his Dad's old school, stuff like that. It was neat to see all those places. We got to ride a train, Logan loved that. The kids had a blast with their cousins and it was nice to have all of Mike's siblings there. It was fun.

Abby: you know what's worse than stitches...a heart attack. Logan: A hard attack is when you fight 2 people at once.
Abby: Mom I want to watch hocapontus. Jana: You mean Pocahontus
Logan: Look Mom there's a flat toe. Jana: A flat toe where? Logan: Up there see it's flat. Jana: Oh, you mean a plateau.
Madelyn: Mom, what year were you born? Jana: 1980. Madelyn: Did they have electricity?
Logan: Daddy has a hooker. Jana: What? Logan: Daddy has a hooker. Jana: Oh, you mean a hitch on his truck. Logan: No mom, it's called a hooker. Jana: No Logan, it's called a hitch.
Logan: are we going to the hospital. Jana: No. Madelyn: we only go to the hospital if we're really sick. Logan: or if we get run over by a tractor.
Mike and I met on the Grounds Crew at BYU. It was love at first bush. We were married in the Mt. Timp Temple on December 17, 1999. We have 4 great kids, Madelyn 7, Abby 5, Logan 3, Camille 20 months. Mike teaches junior high and I stay home with my kids.
