3rd Camping Trip/Reunion of July!

For the Spencer reunion we went to Singletree campground, which is in Boulder Mountain. This is my favorite spot to camp. It's the "back to the roots" trip. It's close to Escalante which it where my grandparents and some of my aunts and uncle grew up.

For those of you Spencer's who missed this reunion really missed out. We had an awesome time at the campground with horseshoes and card games, and little babies in the tub. The kids had a blast running around and playing together. It was a great time for cousins to get to know each other.
We went to the Upper Calf Creek falls, which is somewhere we've never been before, and there was cliff jumping and waterfall sliding. It was a killer hike on the way back, but worth it for the swimming. We of course went to Calf Creek and played in the water and did the ever famous Spencer family Dam. On Saturday we went to Escalante for their 24th of July parade. It was awesome. There were about 25 entries(which is the perfect size), they all threw out tons of candy, otter pops and pencils and pins and stuff. And when the parade was at the end, they turned around and we got to see it all again. That's a little small towney, but it was fun nonetheless. They did a shoot-out after the parade and that was fun to watch. We went to the cemetery and then back to the campground. We went on the singletree falls hike and got soaked on the way back from the rain. It was an awesome trip!
